Lights Bio

Lights is Canadian girl from Timmins Ontario who makes intergalactic-electro music. As a kid she moved around a lot, and to find some form of consistency, she had to find a place that always stayed the same. Concocting music became that world, and she escaped there any chance she got.

In April 2008 LIGHTS released her eponymous EP and won the 2009 Juno for New Artist of the Year.

Using music to translate something painful into something transcendent is LIGHTS' primary purpose. It's her commitment to keeping pure the connection that music creates that guides her as she creates her music.
