Pauly Shore is an American comedian, actor, and filmmaker who became a defining figure of 1990s pop culture. Born in Hollywood, California, in 1968 to comedy club owners Mitzi and Sammy Shore, he grew up surrounded by some of the biggest names in stand-up. Shore began performing comedy as a teenager and gained national attention as an MTV VJ in the late 1980s, where his offbeat humor and surfer-slang persona, known as "The Weasel," made him an instant icon. His success on television led to a run of hit comedies including Encino Man, Son in Law, In the Army Now, Bio-Dome, and Jury Duty. Beyond film, Shore has continued to perform stand-up, direct documentaries, and produce independent projects that reflect his enduring love for comedy.
