Dead and Divine was a Canadian five-piece post-hardcore and metalcore band from Burlington, Ontario, active from 2003 to 2012. The group gained early attention with their 2005 EP What Really Happened at Lover's Lane, released on Verona Records, and went on to produce several full-length albums, including The Fanciful (2008), The Machines We Are (2009), and Antimacy (2011). Known for their intense live performances and emotionally charged lyrics, Dead and Divine combined melodic hooks with heavy guitar riffs and driving rhythms, creating a distinctive sound within the post-hardcore scene. The band consisted of Matt Tobin (vocals), Chris LeMasters (guitar), Sebastian Lueth (guitar), Kellan Lindsay (bass), and Kelly Bilan (drums). Though they disbanded in 2012, their music continues to influence Canadian metalcore and post-hardcore artists, and their albums remain celebrated by fans for their energy, passion, and craftsmanship.
