Event Details
Event type: All AgesExplore extraordinary music in a charming and historic rural setting. That's the Leith Summer Festival's invitation to you, as they proudly present their 2012 season of summer concerts, an eclectic treat, created to bring music lovers outstanding performances by some of Canada's finest musical talent.
Roberto lives in Firenze, Italy, and has become known for his research on Mendelssohn. He released several discs on Decca of previously unknown, unfinished or unpublished works of Mendelssohn. He has performed in Canada, notably in Waterloo at the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Music Society, and has made documentary films on Mendelssohn, Liszt and Chopin. His musical interpretation of these composers is masterful, but at the same time, sensitive. His playing is truly music for the soul.
Roberto Prosseda’s recent discovery of Felix Mendelssohn piano works lead to his two Decca releases: "Mendelssohn Discoveries" (2005) and "Mendelssohn Rarities" (2006.)
Roberto Prosseda's Chopin's Nocturnes is performance number four in a five performance Series which comprises the Leith Summer Music Festival. Please ensure you check on the right box to purchase EITHER the single show only, or all shows in the series (series pricing available until May 31st only).
