The Valtchev-Tchekoratova Duo are from Bulgaria originally, but studied at the famed Juilliard School in New York. Georgy has lately been concertmaster of an orchestra in Denmark, but we get this wonderful-sounding and superbly coordinated duo while they're on a brief trip back to North America.

Program: three great sonatas for violin and piano: Beethoven, no. 1; Schnittke, no. 1, and the fabulous sonata by César Franck.

Any lover of the violin should not miss this remarkable team!
