Two edgy, raw, intense, diverse and successful female artists coming together to create a magical night of music.
Kinnie Starr is one of Canada’s most adored and critically acclaimed underground musicians. Widely known in hip hop circles as an artist with a strikingly authentic voice, Starr has been blazing trails since 1996 with her beat slamming recordings, outspoken race and gender politics, intelligent and edgy visual art and striking looks. MC, singer, musician, producer, poet, actress, artist, seeker. She is a trusted guide and fearless explorer with a name respected in almost any cultural or artistic conversation. Her familiar and extraordinary voice continues to provoke new thought and an evolved understanding of art, love, sex, culture, humanity and more.
Sarah Smith is a raw, honest acoustic rocker who seethes with power, energy and emotion. Her music is positive and inspiring, and her electric stage presence delivers her music into the pores of your skin, deep in your soul to a place that signals pure joy. Along with her solo project, Sarah is also lead singer for The Joys. She has played thousands of shows across the US and Canada and shared the stage with artists such as The Trews, Sloan, Arkells, Bedouin Soundclash, Big Sugar, and Robert Plant.
Kinnie and Sarah are teaming up together to bring their audience raw, intimate, fearless performances. Don't miss out.
