Current Swell is a Canadian indie rock band from Victoria, British Columbia, formed in the early 2000s. Known for blending reggae, rock, and folk influences, the six-piece band is fronted by longtime friends Scott Stanton (vocals, guitar) and Dave Lang (vocals, guitar), alongside Louis Sadava (bass, vocals), Marcus Manhas (drums), and additional members on keys and horns. Over the years, they've released seven albums, including So I Say, Protect Your Own, Long Time Ago, Ulysses, When to Talk and When to Listen, and Buffalo, earning acclaim for their catchy melodies, thoughtful lyrics, and energetic live shows. Current Swell has charted hits on Canadian rock radio, toured extensively across Canada, and developed a loyal fanbase both domestically and internationally. Their music is characterized by uplifting harmonies, rhythmic grooves, and a fusion of indie, folk, and reggae sensibilities.
