About Emm Gryner

Emm Gryner, born June 8, 1975, in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, is a Canadian-Filipino singer, songwriter, recording artist, and author. She has released 20 solo albums spanning indie pop, rock, and metal, and has collaborated with notable artists including David Bowie and astronaut Chris Hadfield. Gryner is also a multi-instrumentalist, playing piano and bass guitar, and was a member of the Canadian band Trent Severn from 2011 to 2019. Known for her powerful voice and emotionally honest songwriting, she has been nominated three times for a Juno Award. Beyond performing, Gryner is an entrepreneur and educator, founding Gryner Voice, an 8-week transformational vocal coaching program. She continues to create and release music independently, including her recent dual-album project: Lioness Sky, a singer-songwriter record, and Used To Bleed, a female-fronted heavy metal album. Gryner's career combines artistry, mentorship, and innovative collaboration, making her a prominent figure in Canadian music.
