Hedley was a Canadian pop rock band formed in Abbotsford, British Columbia in 2003. Named after the small B.C. town of Hedley, the band quickly became one of Canada's most recognizable modern rock acts. Fronted by Jacob Hoggard, who gained national attention as a finalist on Canadian Idol in 2004, Hedley was known for energetic performances and a blend of pop, punk, and alternative influences. Their hits - including Perfect, For the Nights I Can’t Remember, Crazy for You, and Hello - dominated Canadian radio throughout the 2000s and 2010s. The group released seven studio albums, earning multiple JUNO nominations and widespread commercial success. However, in 2018, following serious allegations against Hoggard, the band went on an indefinite hiatus. Despite controversy overshadowing their later years, Hedley's music remains a defining part of Canada's 2000s pop-rock scene, remembered for its catchy hooks, radio anthems, and emotional ballads.
