Hollerado is an acclaimed Canadian indie rock band from Ottawa, Ontario, formed in 2007 by Menno Versteeg, Nixon Boyd, Dean Baxter, and Jake Boyd. Known for their infectious energy, witty songwriting, and creative DIY spirit, the band gained national attention with their 2009 debut Record in a Bag, an album literally packaged in resealable plastic bags. Their follow-ups — White Paint (2013), 111 Songs (2015), Born Yesterday (2017), and Retaliation Vacation (2019) — showcased their evolution from playful garage rock to more polished, introspective indie pop. Hollerado became fan favorites for their vibrant live shows and clever music videos, particularly the breakout single "Americanarama." Though they disbanded in 2019 after a farewell tour, they reunited in 2024 and officially announced their return in 2025, thrilling longtime fans. With humor, heart, and a distinct Canadian charm, Hollerado remains one of Canada's most inventive and beloved modern rock acts.
