La Coka Nostra is an American hip hop supergroup formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2004. The group is composed of Danny Boy, Slaine, DJ Lethal, and Ill Bill, each bringing a distinct style shaped by years in the underground and mainstream hip hop scenes. DJ Lethal, formerly of House of Pain, provides intricate turntable work, while Danny Boy contributes lyrical flow rooted in East Coast rap traditions. Slaine and Ill Bill add gritty, streetwise perspectives, blending storytelling with sharp social commentary. Their music is characterized by hard-hitting beats, dark, aggressive production, and raw, uncompromising lyricism. La Coka Nostra has released three studio albums—A Brand You Can Trust, Masters of the Dark Arts, and To Thine Own Self Be True—alongside the EP 100% Pure Coka. Known for their energetic live performances, the group has built a dedicated following and remains a respected force in underground hip hop, pushing the boundaries of collaboration, lyrical complexity, and production within the genre.
