Port Cities is a Canadian pop band based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, formed in 2015 by singer-songwriters Dylan Guthro, Breagh MacKinnon, and Carleton Stone, each of whom had already established successful solo careers in the Maritime music scene. The trio combines their individual strengths to create a polished, soulful pop sound characterized by smooth harmonies, melodic songwriting, and thoughtful lyrics. In 2016, Port Cities signed with turtlemusik/Warner Music, and their self-titled debut album was released in 2017, featuring standout tracks such as Back to the Bottom, In the Dark, and On the Nights You Stay Home. Their music blends contemporary pop sensibilities with subtle influences from folk and R&B, reflecting their diverse backgrounds and collaborative approach. Known for their engaging live performances, the band has cultivated a dedicated following in Atlantic Canada and beyond. Port Cities continues to write, record, and perform, celebrating their roots while reaching new audiences with each release.
