Shadrach Kabango, professionally known as Shad or Shad K, is a Canadian rapper, broadcaster, and acclaimed wordsmith from Toronto. Emerging from the Canadian underground hip-hop scene in 2005, he has built a reputation for thoughtful, socially conscious lyrics and dynamic storytelling, releasing seven studio albums and three EPs. His music blends sharp lyricism with diverse influences, touching on themes of identity, community, and personal growth. Shad is also the host of Hip Hop Evolution, a documentary series exploring the history of hip-hop, and he continues to perform live across Canada, including intimate concerts and festival appearances.
