Jennis are bringing there roots bluesy folky sound back to Guelph for a show at Silence with the lovely Sarah Beatty. Join us for an evening of mostly original material augmented by early American jazz, reggae, funk, R&B and blues classics reinterpreted in the inimitable Jennis style! ABOUT JENNIS: Jennis brings together award-winning Guelph-based Dennis Gaumond’s decades of experience writing and performing original blues and folk and the diverse musical experiences of veteran Toronto indie-scene multi-instrumentalist Jen Gillmor. Their unique blend of dobro and cello is augmented by didgeridoo, custom-tuned harmonicas, flute, wah-guitar, jaw harp and wazinator. Jennis released their debut album, The Current, was released in June 2014. What do you get when you combine talented songwriting, warm, rich vocals with resophonic guitar, cello, flute, jaw harp and even a didgeridoo? A unique and impressive blend of folk, roots and bluesy sounds served up as a fine, entertaining evening of Jennis music.
