The “Live on Locke" 2015 series opens with Canadian Juno award-winning singer-songwriter Molly Johnson on September 18, 2015. A Canadian jazz legend, Molly has performed for Prince Charles and the Princess Diana, Nelson Mandela, and Quincy Jones. She was made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2007, and from 2008 to 2013 was the weekend host of CBC Radio 2 Morning show. Wanda Jackson’s Hamilton appearance on October 2 will be followed by a performance by Canadian rock musician Joel Plaskett on November 20. A Juno award winner, he has also garnered multiple East Coast Music Awards and has been nominated several times for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize. Joel has opened for Paul McCartney, and has toured throughout North America and Europe with such performers as The Tragically Hip, Sloan and Kathleen Edwards. The final “Live on Locke" concert on December 4 brings the Skydiggers to the stage at Melrose United Church. This Juno award-winning group is known for its upbeat single, “Monday Morning," with the gentle ballad “I Will Give You Everything" cementing the group’s reputation, and getting substantial play on both radio and music television.
