It’s tango like you've never heard it before! For over 18 years, Argentina’s red-hot Tango Nuevo innovators have been exploring the dark roots of this timeless music and are credited with establishing a new generation of singer-guitar based tango groups. They contrast the gritty themes of drugs, crime, tragic love stories, and life on the edge, with the tasteful and elegant use of contemporary classical music, African rhythms and European technique. Simply put, the tango of 34 Puñaladas is passion personified; risqué and bold, dark and dangerous. An Italian journalist once described the group’s music as “the perfect soundtrack for a Quentin Tarantino movie filmed in Buenos Aires".
