The HEATH Quartet: The "dynamic and charismatic Heath Quartet are fast earning a reputation as one of the most exciting British chamber ensembles of the moment. In May 2013 they became the first ensemble in 15 years to win the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society’s Young Artists Award." The Heath Quartet members are Professors of Chamber Music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, individually holding instrumental teaching posts in the faculty. Program: Beethoven No. 3; Bartok No. 1; Dvorak no. 13 Of special interest is Bela Bartok's very first quartet, performed less often than the celebrated later quartets. But it is a great and intriguing piece. The other two selections are great works by their respective composers. If you enjoy chamber music, this is an event you need to take in!
Cutoff is Friday, January 20, 2017 4:59 pm EST unless it sells out earlier.
