In this groundbreaking concert, two of Canada's most outstanding ensembles - one classical, one jazz - come together! The Penderecki String Quartet is world famed, and a several-times a year star guest in our Music Room The Dave Young Trio might be Canada's most outstanding jazz trio (Dave Young, bass; Kevin Turcotte, trumpet; Robi Botos, piano) While we usually don't "do" jazz any more (the Jazz Room does that), this trio is an exception. And the two of them together? ZOWIE! The program is all jazz improvisation, but there's a big piece that's partially composed. A FEW TICKETS ARE SUDDENLY AVAILABLE.
