Ménage a six are six of Canada's finest string players. They have played several times in our Music Room, presenting an astounding sonic image. Csaba Koczo, Yehonatan Berick, violins; Caitlin Boyle, Theresa Rudolph, violas; Rachel Desoer, Rachel Mercer, cellos. [Csaba is Principal second Violin of the Canadian Opera Orchestra; Yahonetan is Professor at Ottawa; Caitlin and Rachel D. are in the famed Cecilia String Quartet; Theresa is Assistant Principal Viola, TSO; Rachel is the cellist of the famed Ensemble Made in Canada, holder of Canada Council precious instruments, and now Associate Principal Cello of the NACO. This year, it's Beethoven: Eyeglasses Duo [viola/cello - Caitlin and Rachel D.] Gary Kulesha: Pro et Contra (vln/vc - Yehonatan and Rachel M.) Handel/Halvorsen: Passacaglia (vln/vl - Csaba and Theresa) Erich Wolfgang KORNGOLD: Sextet [Korngold was one of the great Hollywood movie composers; his classical composition are lushly romantic in a late-romantic style.]
