Luis Enrique Mejía Godoy is one of Latin America’s great troubadours. His music and song have deep roots in the Indigenous and Afro-Caribbean traditions of Nicaragua. His art gives voice to the struggles for human rights, equity, and justice.
The Technical Institute John Paul II of Nicaragua www.itejp.org was founded in 1996. The Institute provides a pathway to a future of economic and social participation through opportunities for young people from low income families to learn skilled trades.
