Join us for a night of stories and folk songs at one of the most unique venues in the region. Silence boats a quiet listening environment perfect for these two talented songwriters. Luke Michielsen who will be promoting the release of a solo acoustic version of his song Pine Needles. Derek Harrison is making a stop on his tour across Canada in support of his new full length album Blossington.
Doors at 7:30pm.
Music starts at 8pm sharp.
The show will be over shortly after 10pm for those who have to work the next day.

Luke Michielsen’s music is bright indie folk. His songs are full of fine melodies and thoughtful lyrics performed with skillful guitar playing and a natural voice.On the success of his 2014 full-length Oh Surround Me, which was named “Pick of the Week" by CBC Radio, Luke has toured Canada extensively as a solo folk singer songwriter. Audiences are endeared by his comedic stage banter and impressive catalogue of songs. He recently released a single called Berlin, ON, which ponders the history of the renaming of his home city Kitchener, in 1916.

Derek Harrison writes contemporary folk songs that pull from many traditions but retain a distinctly Canadian outlook. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, his solo material showcases his lyrical songwriting and fingerstyle acoustic guitar. Born in Harrow, ON and based at times in Montreal, Toronto, Melbourne and various border towns, he has performed throughout Canada, Europe and Australia.
