QuartetFest is primarily an intensive session of training for aspiring young chamber musicians - especially string quartets. This year's Penderecki Chamber Music Prize winning ensemble is the Kodama Quartet (of which, more information when we have it)
There are no less than EIGHT ensembles in this year's QuartetFest, almost all of which are not just string quartets but add a pianist for movements from famous quintets. There are also piano quartets, and Oboe quartet, and a Brahms Trio (the clarinet trio, but using a viola instead of clarinet.

Suffice to say that these are all talented, highly trained, and hard working ensembles which you'll enjoy hearing. And the price is very low!
