Anxiety? Trouble focusing? Aggressive? With school right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about how we can set our kids up for success. If your child is struggling with mood, learning or behaviour, whether or not they have a diagnosis, they’re not alone. And many of these issues can be improved with food, a vastly under-utilized and powerful tool. This workshop is designed to help parents and teachers further understand the connection between food and behaviour. We’ll outline simple diet changes that make a big difference and leave you with resources you can implement right away to help kids calm down, be less anxious, focus better, feel better and function their best. Ticket price includes a copy of Jess Sherman's book, Raising Resilience.
Jess Sherman became interested in the impact of food on behaviour and learning when she was a high school teacher. She is now a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, and supports families struggling with learning, development and mental health issues. She is also the author of Raising Resilience - 36 ways to help your kids relax, learn, and grow, which outlines a nutrition plan that supports better learning, mood and wellness for kids. Jess also works with the team at the Ottawa Integrative Health Centre and is the mom of three.
