Laurie Gemmell has long been Principal Harpist of the K-W Symphony, and has often performed with the Toronto Symphony and others. She gave a much-applauded recital for KWCMS as well. The Toronto Serenade group is organized by Toronto Symphony violinist Arkady Yanivker; we don't yet have the full roster for this concert.
Program: ARNOLD BAX, Quintet for Harp and Strings; Gian-Carlo Menotti, Cantilena & Scherzxo for harp and string quartet; Mozart, String Quartet in G, K. 156; R. Murray SCHAFER: Theseus, for harp and strings.
This program of not-often-heard music is typical of the Toronto Serenade group. You're sure to find it really fresh and interesting!
