Of course, THIS MOUNTAIN LIFE – which became a big favourite of audiences at festivals worldwide after its premiere at Hot Docs -- also just as fascinating as a portrait of the people who are drawn to these incredible spaces, whether they’re the nuns at a remote monastery or the mother-daughter team who attempt a six-month journey through the wilderness, or the many climbers, skiers and artists we also meet here. Even the viewers of Baldwin’s film who rarely venture far above sea level will find it easy to understand these people’s devotion to the kind of lives that can only be lived at these altitudes.
