Featuring: Antian Jiang, piano
Event type: All Ages
Antian Jiang, at the tender age of 11, absolutely wowed our audience last summer with the maturity and assurance of her performances of major repertoire. We bring her back so soon because she is already booked up for this summer! She was the youngest person in the history of the Royal Conservatory of Music to have earned the Licentiate Diploma in piano performance with Distinction (at age 10!). She is also the second youngest in RCM history to have earned the ARCT - also with Distinction. She is a past National Laureate of the CMC, as well as the winner of the senior concerto class at the 2017 OMFA Provincial Finals. We expect a great future for this amazing young lady, and are proud to be among the first presentors of professional concerts to have enabled the public to see her artistry at work! It will be noted that she brings a program that would normally be found in theo offerings of a seasoned professional pianist:
Program (may be altered a bit):
Haydn - Variations in f-minor; Debussy - Pour le Piano
Beethoven - 32 Variations in c-minor; Sonata opus 110
Liszt - Tarantella
