IMPACT (International Multicultural Platform for Alternative Contemporary Theatre) is one of Waterloo Region’s signature events. World-class local, national, and international performers gather in downtown Kitchener for theatre that moves and speaks in new ways.
IMPACT is focused on Indigenous and culturally diverse work from Canada and around the world, with special emphasis on interdisciplinary, intercultural, and physical productions. IMPACT presents some of the finest local, national, and international work. It provides a unique platform to engage, play, and rejuvenate with hundreds of artists and thousands of visitors from across Canada and beyond.
Exactly 10 years after we launched the first IMPACT Festival, we come together again to celebrate our 6th biennial which promises to be larger and more exciting than ever before. 7 international productions from three continents, 6 Canadian shows from across the country and 6 locally made works, will grace the stages of downtown Kitchener over 6 days at the end of September.
The IMPACT 19 Festival Pass does not include the Festival Conference, or the Neruda Party (Neruda Arts presents: Kizaba at TWH Social After Dark), which will be sold by Neruda Arts. If you wish to attend the Festival Conference, please purchase the IMPACT 19 Conference Pass, which includes the 3-day #Erasing_the_Margins industry conference, as well as everything included in the Festival Pass.
Some events may sell out, so we highly recommend that you reserve a seat for all shows that you would like to attend by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We will also be reaching out to passholders with a recommended "passholder pathway", which will allow you to see the most shows possible.
