Event type: Ages 18+
"You're going WHERE?" "Are you sure that's safe?" "Well, I heard in the news that...." "But what will you do with yourself all day?" "Oh, I think I'd be too nervous to fly on my own. What if something happens?" If you're a woman who dreams of travelling solo, these naysayer comments will be all too familiar. But they shouldn't stop you from pursuing your dreams! This seminar will review how to assess the safety of a destination and - more importantly - your safety there as a solo female traveller. It will review how to find bargains, services, and programs designed for the solo adventurer and discuss resources for finding things to do - either on your own or with a local community of women. Expect tips and strategies for everything from packing ultralight without compromising on style to eating alone at a restaurant to shutting down doubts.
Ticket Price: $35 (+ tax & service fees)
