The Kingston Canadian Film Festival presents DISAPPEARANCE AT CLIFTON HILL
Director: Albert Shin
Featuring: Tuppence Middleton, Hannah Gross, Marie-Josée Croze
Runtime: 100 minutes
Beyond the world-famous sights and tourist attractions of Niagara Falls, there’s another side to the city, a side that’s on display in this compelling neo-noir mystery by Toronto’s Albert Shin (IN HER PLACE, KCFF’15). Downton Abbey’s Tuppence Middleton plays Abby, a young woman who’s back in town to deal with the recent death of her mother and the motel she left to Abby and her sister Laure (Hannah Gross). But when Abby becomes fixated on the decades-old case of a missing boy, she becomes enmeshed in secretive, shadowy matters with far-reaching implications. Great performances by Marie-Josée Croze, Noah Reid and – in a rare acting turn – David Cronenberg help deepen the allure of Shin’s twisty thriller.
To mark our 20th anniversary, we’re launching the Live the Experience Fund that will provide tickets for local schools and community groups to attend the Festival and live the experience first hand.
