As individual specimens, native plants provide much beauty and many ecological benefits, but in luscious combinations, they can take your garden to new levels. In this illustrated talk, native plant expert Lorraine Johnson shows how you can mix and match tried-and-true performers that flourish together, focusing on flowers, foliage, shape, colour, texture and garden design. Bonus: bring a sketch of your own garden space and ask Lorraine for her advice!
Lorraine Johnson is the author of 10+ books (Green Future: How to Make a World of Difference; 100 Easy-to-Grow Native Plants for Canadian Gardens; Grow Wild!; The New Ontario Naturalized Garden; Tending the Earth; The Real Dirt; among other titles); founding editor of the magazine Ground: Landscape Architect Quarterly; a patron of Toronto Botanical Garden; a former president of the North American Native Plant Society; and a frequent speaker on topics related to gardening and environmental and social issues.
Cutoff is Saturday, April 25, 2020 8:29 am EST unless it sells out earlier.
