We will be presenting LONG TIME RUNNING. This movie premiered in 2017, and is the film of the Tragically Hip concert of 2016 which was held shortly after band member Gord Downie’s cancer diagnosis. This movie will be presented in the main level auditorium, with its highly capable and very powerful audio system. It will play nightly at 7:30, Friday October 2 through Thursday, October 8.
Due to government restrictions regarding distancing, only fifty seats are available for each showing. Ticket price is $10 except Tuesday, $8. It’s impossible to predict attendance with accuracy; my guess is that it will be adequate. However, you can arrange tickets with Ticketscene, an online source. There’s a small charge levied if you use this service. And, only a portion of tickets are committed to Ticketscene – the remainder are held for sale at the theatre. Call us if you have questions about any of this…613-432-6139.
And a cautionary reminder: there is always the possibility of ‘lockdown’ by Ontario Government decree. If this occurs, we will have our recording (613-432-0866) updated immediately.
Visit the O'Brien Theatre in RENFREW ON, close to Ottawa, for the latest movie releases and classics. Social Distancing Regulations:
Phase 3 now allows theatres to reopen with social distancing measures in place. Regulations allow a maximum of 50 persons per auditorium, 2 metre distancing, and everyone must wear a mask indoors until you are seated. Our theatre and seats will be deep cleaned between each movie. Hallways will be one way. One person from each group will be responsible to get snacks from the concession area, everyone else will go straight in and sit down. Rows will be set up to allow social distance between groups.
