Heartland Country is coming to Keene!
The band has been together for 21 years, playing everywhere from New Liskeard to Orono and from Barry’s Bay to Kingston and places in between. For the past eleven years, we were the Stage band for the Hometown Country Jamboree in Napanee.
We are a fun, easy going group who really enjoy entertaining. We are also one of the few country bands around that have all of it’s members sing.
The band is made up of the following 5 members:
Kevin hails from Frankford but currently resides in Wooler. He has been playing guitar since he was 10 years old. Kevin looks after set up and control of the sound at gigs that don’t provide such, as well as playing bass, harmony vocals and lead vocals for the group Heartland Country. His repertoire includes country songs from the 60’s through to today’s top 40.
Sid grew up in Quebec where he played in several bands, later moving to Nova Scotia, all the while grooming his talents as a fine fiddle player, a superb steel guitarist and a very smooth vocalist. Sid now resides in Foxboro and uses his many talents as a member of the group Heartland Country.
Kenny is a lifelong resident of the Stirling area and has been performing for more than 40 years. As a member of the band Heartland Country, Kenny plays lead guitar, sings harmony vocals as well as lead vocals and his repertoire includes country songs from the 60’s through to today’s top 40. Ken also takes care of all the bookings for the band.
Dave is a lifelong resident of Wooler, and has been performing for more than 50 years. As a member of the band Heartland Country, Dave plays rhythm guitar and provides vocals. His repertoire includes songs by Hank Williams, Ray Price and many more.
Ernie resides in Kingston, and has been performing for more than 60 years. Over the years Ernie has played drums with most everyone in the south east Ontario area. As a member of the band Heartland Country, Ernie keeps us all in beat and on time, as well as providing some fine vocals with a repertoire including country songs from the 50’s through to more recent hits.
