Two remarkable quintets occupy this program, by fine players from our K-W Symphony and from Montreal: Dvorak's deservedly popular No. 2 in A Major, op. 81, arguably the most beautiful and certainly tuneful among the great quintets. And then there's the early work of the young Bartok - before he became entranced with folks rhythms of Eastern Europe. His early piano quintet is extremely difficult for the pianist, and full of interesting novelties. We think you'll love it, once you've heard it! (We've presented it twice before.)
Cutoff is Saturday, October 16, 2021 5:29 pm EST unless it sells out earlier.
