The Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for the Stollery Children's Hospital. Their funding supports children's health through equipment, education, research, and special services. They want to ensure every child has access to the very best care. They are committed to children from Alberta and throughout Canada who come to Edmonton for the specialized pediatric services available here. Donations to The Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation Purchase state-of-the-art equipment that will allow specialists to give our kids the best care possible. Support research to provide cures and treatments for childhood diseases. Protect and educate our children. Recruit and keep nationally and internationally renowned scientists and doctors.

Our artists have performed on the international stage from a young age. Their credits include Cirque Du Soleil in Las Vegas, Dragone and House of Dancing Water in Macau - $250 million masterpiece production which CNN called "The best of the best in the entertainment world" An elegant and inventive flamboyant poetic routine with many exciting tricks. This act combines strength, grace and flexibility to create unique visual images which is sure to enchant any audience.

A stylish and breathtaking silk acts with a highly unique, sassy display of contortion, high energy aerial acrobatics and Fosse-esque choreography. A punchy, upbeat and fun routines with a high degree of strength, power, flexibility, courage, and grace. Please note that Cirque Du Soleil is not affiliated with our gala and is not sponsoring or endorsing this event.

= Electric guitar signed on July 17, 1977 in Seattle by all original members of Led Zeppelin - guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones and drummer John Bonham. This was the eleventh and final concert tour of North America for them. John Bonham died on September 25, 1980 – he was just 32 years old. Two months later, the remaining members disbanded the biggest band of the '70s on December 4, 1980. Until his tragic death, Bonham was worldwide famous for his drum solos which could take about 30 minutes. In 2010 Rolling Stone named John Bonham "the best drummer of all time".

= Electric guitar signed by “King of Twist" - Chubby Checker. He is widely known for popularizing the twist dance style. In September 2008 "The Twist" topped Billboard's list of the most popular singles to have appeared in the Hot 100 since its debut in 1958, an honor it maintained for an August 2013 update of the list.[1] He also popularized the Limbo Rock and its trademark limbo dance, as well as various dance styles such as the fly. Chubby Checker is the only recording artist to place five albums in the Top 12 all at once.

– Boxing Glove autographed by Sylvester Stallone. Rocky Balboa quickly became a household name after Stallone’s 1976 hit, Rocky. The film grossed $225 million worldwide and was awarded Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Film Editing at the 1976 Academy Awards. Stallone wrote and starred in the movie himself, and received honors from the Writers Guild of America in 2006 as the 78th best screenplay of all-time. Since the 1976 debut of Rocky there have been five sequels, all of which featured Stallone. The Rocky series has grossed over $1.25 billion worldwide since the first movie debuted.

- Very rare item - boxing glove signed by Mike Tyson with extra inscription – “KID DYNAMITE". He held the undisputed heavyweight championship and holds the record as the youngest boxer to win the WBA, WBC, and IBF heavyweight titles at 20 years, 4 months, and 22 days old.[6] Tyson won his first 19 professional fights by knockout, 12 of them in the first round. He won the WBC title in 1986 after stopping Trevor Berbick in two rounds. In 1987, Tyson added the WBA and IBF titles after defeating James Smith and Tony Tucker. This made him the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles, and the only heavyweight to successively unify them. In 1988, Tyson became the lineal champion when he knocked out Michael Spinks in 91 seconds of the first round. Tyson successfully defended the world heavyweight championship nine times, including victories over Larry Holmes and Frank Bruno. He won the WBC and WBA titles in 1996, after defeating Frank Bruno and Bruce Seldon by knockout. With his defeat of Bruno, Tyson joined Floyd Patterson, Muhammad Ali, Tim Witherspoon, Evander Holyfield, and George Foreman, as the only men in boxing history to have regained a heavyweight championship after having lost it. Nicknamed "Iron" and "Kid Dynamite" in his early career and later known as "The Baddest Man on the Planet" Tyson is considered one of the best heavyweights of all time. He is rank No. 1 in the ESPN.com list of "The hardest hitters in heavyweight history". Sky Sports rated him as "the scariest boxer ever" and described him as "perhaps the most ferocious fighter to step into a professional ring. He has been inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame and the World Boxing Hall of Fame.

- Poster from 1970 world tour signed by Godfather of Soul and founding father of Funk music – James Brown. James Brown (May 3, 1933 – December 25, 2006) was an American singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer and bandleader. The founding father of funk music and a major figure of 20th century popular music and dance, he is often referred to as the Godfather of Soul. In a career that spanned six decades, he influenced the development of several music genres. Brown began his career as a gospel singer in Toccoa, Georgia. First coming to national public attention in the late 1950s as a member of the singing group The Famous Flames with the hit ballads "Please, Please, Please" and "Try Me", Brown built a reputation as a tireless live performer with the Famous Flames and his backing band, sometimes known as the James Brown Band or the James Brown Orchestra. His success peaked in the 1960s with the live album Live at the Apollo and hit singles such as "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag", "I Got You (I Feel Good)" and "It's a Man's Man's Man's World". During the late 1960s he moved from a continuum of blues and gospel-based forms and styles to a profoundly "Africanized" approach to music-making that influenced the development of funk music. By the early 1970s, Brown had fully established the funk sound after the formation of the J.B.s with records such as "Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine" and "The Payback".
