Gaetano Donizetti [famed only as an opera writer!], Piano Trio (he wrote only one)
Joan Tower, Big Sky (she is one of the most noted American composeors of the day)
Gabriel Fauré, Piano Trio (he too wrote but one; however, his Piano Quartets are classics)
Ravel, Piano Trio [As you'll see, this simply one of the greatest trios ever composed]
