Centre Wellington Mobile Market presents The Food Rescue Picnic - a day for our community to come together to learn about sustainable food practices, food literacy and the importance of a circular food economy.

From live music, family fun activties to food trucks, a beer garden and Harmony Meadows Alpacas! 

The day is to help support the growth of Centre Wellington Mobile Market; a non-profit organization that rescues safe for consumption food and repurposes it into nutritious packaged meals and grocery boxes for folks in our community who are finding it difficult to secure an adequate amount food for their household. 

On average, we support 60 households each week that are food insecure. We have two methods for our clients to access these meals; we deliver meals to clients and offer pop-up markets in neighbourhoods where we have found the most significant demand throughout Centre Wellington. Come fall, as the demand continues to climb we look to more ways we can assist in making our Centre Wellington food secure. 

The Food Rescue Picnic will help us with our growth throughout the upcoming school year, but more importantly it is a day to take part in promoting a future where all families are food secure. 

We will be offering a free accessible shuttle to and from The Skol House into Fergus and Elora. Check back for pick up locations and schedule.

Tickets are valid for entry, activities and music. 

No outside food or drink. 

Kids 12 and under are free.
