The Interview: This is it! The opportunity of a lifetime. You’ve just read in the Intelligencer that Glanmore, one of the grandest homes in Belleville is looking for new help. You’ve been waiting for this, but it seems as though the owners expect you to pass a very difficult interview. When you arrive at Glanmore, you are greeted by a long time worker, who has quite a few stories to tell about your potential place of employment. In addition, it seems that the one in charge has left out various tests for you to pass, to see if you would be well suited for the job. You will need to excel at several skills and fit well with the team in order to gain one of the coveted few spots. You and your team will have to race against the clock, all while maintaining honour and dignity, in order to succeed. 

The Interview is a fun, fast-paced interactive show, set in the 1890s, which allows the audience to dive into the life of a servant in the past. Small audience groups become active participants in a challenging job interview to become a servant for Glanmore’s original residents, John and Harriet Phillips. You will engage in escape room style activities such as mental puzzles and physical chores while following the story and moving through the historic house. Can you solve the mystery and successfully sign the employment roster as a servant at Glanmore or will you be sent packing?

Following the performance, museum staff will be available to answer questions and light refreshments will be served in the museum’s lower level. After registering please email glanmoreinfo@belleville.ca if you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies we should be aware of.
