Maestro Michael Berec leads the York Chamber Ensemble in a blend of classical favourites and a rare gem from the late Romantic. Kick off the night with an exhilarating overture from Rossini's Il Signor Bruschino, promising a delightful blend of light-heartedness and excitement, complete with thrilling crescendos and a special surprise seldom heard in concert halls. Violinist Joyce Lai and Violist Ian Clarke join forces to perform the rarely programmed, yet highly emotive Double Concerto by Max Bruch. As the evening draws to a close, immerse yourself in the grandeur of Haydn's Symphony No. 104 "London", the composer's final symphonic masterpiece.
