Duo Gowan/Stam is coming to Peterborough, all the way from Mont Laurier, QC and Guelph, ON, bringing you an evening of folk dance music from France on hurdy gurdy and fiddle! Alison and Emilyn will also give you the chance to learn the dances that go with this music. There will be an intro to Balfolk Dance Workshop from 7:30-8:30pm, after which point the duo will perform their repertoire and you can participate by dancing the dances that go with the tunes, or listening comfortably from your chair. Expect a variety of social folk dances: some partner dances, some group dances, some mixer dances. All easy and fun! Sadleir House will be running a bar. This is an all ages event.
