Avondale Music Series is proud to continue our celebration of local musicians with an evening with singer/songwriter, author and speaker Kelly Walker, along with some of his talented friends. Walker is no stranger to Avondale United Church where he has performed, most recently, at our Variety Show last October, as well as occasionally leading the congregation with his music and messages during Sunday services.
This concert combines Walker's wonderful story-telling through spoken word and music on the theme of "Gotta Have a Dream", with special appearances by: Judith Lander, internationally acclaimed singer, ballet composer, Broadway actress, and cabaret performer; Roy Lewis, poet, playwright, director, actor (including 16 years with the Stratford Festival), and Founding Member of the Obsidian Theatre Co.; and Rachelle Shubert, jazz, classical, folk and original composition singer, director, conductor, and visual artist.
This concert will be brimming with amazing local Canadian talent! And it all goes to supporting the various ministries at Avondale United Church.
