Indian Dinner Takeout - A Huntsville Suzuki School Fundraiser

The families of the Huntsville Suzuki School of Music are ready to cook up another great Indian meal for you under the direction of music director and chef Philip Kashap!

This November you have your choice of our famous Butter Chicken, Vegan Butter Chicken or Beef Korma. (Beef Korma is a delicious dish from Northern India in which the beef is marinated in yogurt and spices before long, slow cooking.) The meal includes several side dishes: Dal (lentils or other legumes cooked in spices), our excellent Mixed Vegetable Curry (for which we comb the store aisles for the best-looking vegetables just before we cook!), Philip's signature Basmati rice (premium Basmati cooked with his secret spices), Raita (spiced yogurt) and good quality Naan (bread). We also include a packet of our House Chai Mix  to make your own cup of hot Indian tea.  

This meal is family friendly, cooked not too spicy for your enjoyment, though you can always add your own chilies or pickle to kick it up a notch. Portions are generous; many of our patrons say we give them enough to enjoy it another day! These also freeze and reheat well, in case you can't eat the meal on that Sunday.

Save on tickets and order by midnight Sunday, Nov. 23, a week before the event.  After this tickets are still available but go up in price as we need to fix our shopping quantities well in advance of cooking. 

Pick-up is on Sunday, Nov. 30 from 5:00-6:30pm at the Active Living Centre, Huntsville, located in the rear of the Canada Summit Centre. We are cooking and packing right up to the last minute, so please don't arrive before 5:00pm!

This fundraiser supports the Huntsville Suzuki School of Music.  For over 30 years the Huntsville Suzuki School has provided quality music lessons and concerts for our community.  These popular dinners have been happening twice a year (one in the fall and one in the spring) for many years.  The money raised helps us continue our mission: to bring great Suzuki teaching to the students of Muskoka!
