Mick McAuley is a world-renowned Irish multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter from Kilkenny, known for his work with Sting and the
acclaimed Irish-American group Solas. A versatile musician on accordion, guitar, concertina, whistles, and keyboards, Mick has toured the world and
shared songwriting and vocal duties on Solas’ twelve celebrated albums. Raised in a well-known musical family, he began performing at a young

vibrant Irish music scene, Mick joined Solas, gaining international recognition through extensive touring and appearances on programs like
Prairie Home Companion and Mountain Stage.
Praised for his storytelling and lyricism, Mick’s songwriting shone on Solas’ concept album Shamrock City. His solo work includes An Ocean’s Breadth, which earned him “Celtic Artist of the Year” from The Washington Post.
