Ticket Terms and Conditions
These Ticket Terms and Conditions apply to all tickets purchased for Howe Island Rockin’ the Rock (“Event”). By purchasing, accepting, holding, presenting, or using a ticket, the ticket holder agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Event

The Organizer reserves the right to update event details, including performance schedule, artist order, site layout, entry procedures, and operating hours where reasonably necessary.
2. Ticket Purchase
A ticket grants the holder admission to the Event, subject to these Terms and Conditions, site rules, capacity limits, safety requirements, and any applicable laws, municipal requirements, or government orders.
Tickets are valid only for the Event date shown at the time of purchase. The Organizer is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, duplicated, or unauthorized tickets.
The Organizer may refuse entry or remove any person who presents an invalid, duplicated, altered, transferred, or fraudulently obtained ticket.
3. No Refunds Except as Stated
All ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable except where expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions or where required by applicable law.
Refunds will not be issued because of personal scheduling conflicts, weather conditions, travel issues, ferry delays, change in personal circumstances, failure to attend, dissatisfaction with artist lineup, or changes to performance order or schedule.
4. Event Cancellation
If the Event is fully cancelled and not rescheduled, the Organizer will provide ticket holders with information regarding refund options.
Refunds, where offered, will apply to the face value of the ticket only. Service fees, processing fees, delivery fees, platform fees, and other third-party charges may be non-refundable unless required by law or unless otherwise determined by the ticketing provider.
5. Postponement or Rescheduling
If the Event is postponed or rescheduled, tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date unless the Organizer states otherwise.
If a rescheduled date is announced, the Organizer may, at its discretion, provide a refund request period. Any refund request must be submitted within the stated deadline and according to the stated process.
6. Weather and Outdoor Event Conditions
Howe Island Rockin’ the Rock is an outdoor event and may proceed rain or shine.
The Organizer may delay, interrupt, suspend, modify, or cancel part or all of the Event due to weather, unsafe conditions, emergency, government order, municipal direction, artist cancellation, technical issue, site condition, or other circumstances beyond the Organizer’s reasonable control.
No refund will be issued for temporary delays, schedule changes, shortened sets, artist substitutions, or interruptions unless the Event is fully cancelled and a refund is offered by the Organizer or required by law.
7. Artist Lineup and Schedule Subject to Change
Artists, performance times, set lengths, running order, and stage schedules are subject to change without refund. A ticket is for admission to the Event, not for any single artist, performance, or specific advertised time.
8. Entry and Re-Entry
All attendees must present a valid ticket for entry. The Organizer may require proof of purchase, identification, wristband, stamp, or other entry credential.
Re-entry may be permitted or restricted at the Organizer’s discretion and may be subject to wristband or credential checks.
9. All-Ages Event
The Event may be open to all ages unless otherwise stated. Children and minors must be supervised by a responsible adult.
Parents, guardians, and supervising adults are responsible for the conduct, safety, and supervision of minors attending the Event.
10. Site Rules and Safety
All attendees must follow posted signs, staff directions, security directions, emergency instructions, and site rules.
The Organizer reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any person from the Event site without refund if that person:
behaves in a threatening, abusive, disruptive, unsafe, or disorderly manner;
violates Event rules or applicable laws;
attempts to bring prohibited items onto the site;
interferes with staff, artists, volunteers, vendors, security, emergency personnel, or other attendees;
damages property;
enters restricted areas;
presents a safety risk to themselves or others.
11. Prohibited Items
The Organizer may prohibit items that present a safety, licensing, operational, or nuisance concern. Prohibited items may include, without limitation:
outside alcohol;
illegal substances;
weapons or items that could reasonably be used as weapons;
fireworks or explosives;
drones;
professional recording equipment without approval;
glass containers;
open flames;
large structures, tents, or canopies unless approved;
any item deemed unsafe or unsuitable by Event staff or security.
The Organizer may inspect bags, coolers, and personal items as a condition of entry. Refusal to comply with reasonable inspection procedures may result in denied entry without refund.
12. Food, Beverage, and Alcohol Rules
Food and beverage availability may be subject to vendor operations, public health requirements, licensing requirements, and site rules.
Where alcohol is available, it will be managed in accordance with applicable laws and licensing requirements. Attendees must follow all posted alcohol rules and staff directions. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
13. Accessibility and Medical Needs
Attendees with accessibility or medical needs are encouraged to contact the Organizer in advance so reasonable efforts can be made to assist.
The Event takes place on an island/outdoor site, and ground conditions may include grass, gravel, uneven terrain, weather-related conditions, and limited infrastructure.
14. Transportation, Parking, and Ferry Access
Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Event, including ferry access, parking, travel timing, and any related costs.
The Organizer is not responsible for delays, ferry lineups, missed transportation, parking limitations, road conditions, or travel disruptions.
15. Assumption of Risk
By attending the Event, attendees acknowledge that outdoor live events involve inherent risks, including but not limited to weather, uneven ground, loud sound, crowds, lighting effects, limited visibility, slips, trips, falls, insects, and other site-related risks.
Attendees voluntarily assume all risks incidental to attending the Event, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organizer, its directors, officers, staff, volunteers, contractors, sponsors, vendors, artists, agents, and representatives shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, cost, expense, delay, inconvenience, or claim arising from attendance at the Event, except where caused by gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or where liability cannot be limited by law.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited under applicable Ontario or Canadian law.
17. Photography, Video, and Media Consent
By entering the Event site, attendees consent to being photographed, filmed, recorded, or otherwise captured in Event-related media.
The Organizer may use photos, video, audio, or other recordings taken at the Event for promotional, archival, advertising, social media, website, sponsor, or media purposes without additional compensation.
Attendees may take personal photos and videos, provided they do not interfere with artists, staff, security, emergency operations, or other attendees.
18. Merchandise and Vendors
Vendors, merchandise, food services, beverage services, and other on-site offerings are subject to availability and may change without notice.
The Organizer is not responsible for transactions between attendees and third-party vendors, except where required by law.
19. Ticket Transfer and Resale
Tickets may not be copied, duplicated, altered, counterfeited, or resold in violation of applicable law.
Any unauthorized resale, attempted resale, or transfer that violates applicable ticketing laws, Event rules, or ticketing platform rules may result in cancellation of the ticket without refund.
20. Privacy
Information collected during ticket purchase may be used for ticket processing, Event administration, customer communication, safety, fraud prevention, and related Event purposes.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and the policies of the ticketing platform used for the transaction.
21. Force Majeure
The Organizer shall not be responsible for failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disaster, fire, flood, power failure, public emergency, labour disruption, government order, public health restriction, transportation disruption, artist cancellation, technical failure, or unsafe site condition.
22. Changes to These Terms
The Organizer may update these Terms and Conditions where reasonably necessary for legal, operational, safety, ticketing, licensing, or Event-related reasons.
The version posted at the time of ticket purchase will generally apply, except where updates are required by law, safety requirements, government direction, ticketing platform requirements, or operational necessity.
23. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.
Any dispute shall be handled in Ontario, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
