Ned Gordon is the driving force behind Ned Music. Ned is a multi-instrumentalist, performer and educator with a background in music composition, audio recording and 20 years of professional playing under his belt. After years composing for film and TV, the arrival of his first child, in 2022, inudged him toward a joyful new focus: children’s music! You’ll find Ned leading lively classes, birthday parties, community and school events, and serving as the children’s music facilitator at the Beaches Sandbox, where he teaches 0–4 year-olds through performance and interactive song play. He believes introducing kids to organic, fun, and authentic music is the best way to kick start a lifelong love of sound.
On stage Ned is a one-man-band! Singing, Guitar, drums, tambourines, shakers, harmonicas (and the occasional juggling act) are just a few of the things you’ll see a Ned Music performance. And he isn’t afraid to mix in songs that appeal to grown-up ears too.
With years teaching lessons and running music camps, his performances blend skill and playfulness that have grown-ups and kids alike joining in to create a truly magical experience, the likes of which only music can offer. Wholesome, talented, and genuinely great with children, Ned creates warm, welcoming musical experiences that families love.
