They with all the other local openers are going to put on such an amazing showcase you won't want to miss. Evil Ebenezer-The Seductive Power of Evil Hailed as “the best new voice in Canadian rap” (Exclaim Magazine), Evil Ebenezer has become the voice of a generation that doesn’t want to grow up, get a job and give up their childhood dreams. With a mastery of cadence, he captures the neurotic soul of our times with eccentric dysfunction, humour and epic darkness all told with his trademark butter smooth delivery. This West Coast legend, has shared stages with the likes of the mighty Souls of Mischief, Ra the Rugged Man, Planet Asia, Devin the Dude, Tech Nine and the Beatnuts. Spending his time touring North America he met up with a couple deviants from Vancouver and created something truly hideous. Along with cult sensation Snak the Ripper and Young Sin he formed the super group Brass Tackz. The group joined the Warped Tour 2010 to play for crowds of 20,000 screaming fans. In the interim, our twisted hero has created his solo masterpiece, Evil Eye, and is once more taking to the road to “shatter the expectations of hip hop fans” (Spin) with his, “Pulp Fiction like adrenaline shot to the heart performances” (Urb) converting strangers to obsessed fans. This is the Evil your parents warned you about. Evil Ebenezer-Love or Music Evil’s father was a musician on the verge of commercial success, finding himself caught between teaching university and raising his family or one final attempt at making it big. After his father spent $15,000 dollars to make a video to promote his dream, his wife left him. For Evil, music is not only his profession, but also what destroyed his family. Burdened by the endless emails, constant phone calls and brutal life on the road, he faces the risk of losing everything he loves for the only thing he can really see himself doing. Evil Ebenezer-The Actor and The Director Before Evil was a rapper he was a child star, performing in Stephen King’s It, the CBC series The Odyssey, auditioning against the likes of super celebrities Ryan Reynolds and Devon Sawa. His budding career ended when he moved to rural Chilliwack where he met a movie-making eighth grader by the name of Stuey Kubrick. Bonding over Tribe Called Quest they began making student films, with Stuey directing and Evil acting. Stuey’s been with Evil since the beginning. Bottom line, the two boys became men chasing their dreams together. When Evil lost his girlfriend to the road and quit rapping to try to live a normal life, it was Stu who convinced him to make music again. Near twenty years into their friendship they are still making music, and music videos, with Stuey the Director and Evil as the actor. Evil Ebenezer-Evil Eye Evil’s newest album Evil Eye combines the addictive musicality of the best of mainstream rap with the hard won truths and insights of underground hip hop. Follow Evil on his cartoon journey through the end of childhood, the hardships of the road, he shows us the evil that exists in the hearts of good people and the hard consequences of taking the easy route. If Atmosphere and Q-Tip had a baby they might sound like Evil. Since men can’t have children, Evil is our last best chance of bridging the gap between underground and mainstream, His live show has been known to cause female fans to do “evil” things, bumping and grinding to his heart felt hits. His energy has been described as if he “were demonically possessed”. Evil’s haunting, melancholic ballads are certainly not without their silver lining. The glimmers of hope in the face of despair and the hunger to persevere are evident in Evil’s song writing, and his raw, energetic shows keep audiences coming back for more. Get ready to hear hip-hop’s best new voice at the peak of his talents. (Sanity Making A Rational Thought) aka Nic Bambrough represents himself as a father, a touring/recording artist and a loving husband, all of which is talked about throughout his music. As an artist and creative visionary S.M.A.R.T's drive and all around skill set is a great mix with his loving attitude towards the Hip Hop Culture (Kulture.) As his nom de plume would suggest, "Smart" is using his brain and skills to make his way through the industry via many directions, with the intent to not only contribute but as well, strengthen Canadian music and entertainment as a whole!
