Dec. 16 is Beethoven's Birthday, and we do an annual tribute to this great composer with a concert devoted to his music. The Penderecki Quartet has contributed more Beethoven's Birthday concerts than any other ensemble or musician, and return this time with his First Quartet (Op. 18, no. 1 in F) and his 14th and possibly greatest of all, op. 131 in c minor. [There may be a short further work] The concert concludes with a Party for Ludwig, to which all ticket holders are invited. (contributions to the party are welcome but not required!) Come and enjoy some of the greatest music ever composed, and the company of fellow chamber music lovers and of the members of the quartet themselves!
