Originally opened by Art Iezzi as an Italian restaurant named after his hometown of Atria, Italy, the venue quickly became known for its welcoming atmosphere, great food, and live entertainment. What began with a piano bar soon evolved into a full-fledged concert venue, drawing both local acts and touring bands from across Canada. Today, The Atria continues to thrive as a beloved bar, grill, and live music venue, offering nightly entertainment ranging from rock and metal shows to karaoke and open mics. With the addition of The Diezel Room upstairs, opened in 1999 by Art's son, Dino, The venue expanded its capacity and cemented its reputation as Oshawa's go-to spot for live entertainment.
