About The Biltmore Theatre

The Biltmore Theatre, located at 39 King Street East in downtown Oshawa, is a historic live entertainment venue that has been a cultural landmark since it was first built in the 1940s. Originally opened as an Odeon movie theatre operated by the Okun Brothers of Toronto, the Biltmore was one of three projection houses serving the city's growing population. After decades of operation and a period of closure, the theatre underwent a major renovation and was beautifully re-opened in 2021, transforming into Oshawa's premier destination for live music, film screenings, special events, weddings, and corporate functions. With a flexible capacity of 536 standing or 260 seated guests, the venue provides an intimate yet dynamic atmosphere, enhanced by modern sound and lighting systems while retaining its historic charm. Today, the Biltmore continues to host an eclectic mix of concerts, cultural performances, and community gatherings, drawing both local audiences and international touring acts. Its revival has not only preserved a piece of Oshawa's downtown heritage but also helped re-establish the city as a hub for arts and entertainment.
