Dickson & Bruce History meets Mystery is a family-friendly, Region of Waterloo film series featuring a unique blend of historical fact and mystery genre fiction.
The Ghost & Castle Kilbride is set in 1893 and features Baden’s own, James Livingston, the Flax and Linseed Oil King, and the jewel of Wilmot Township, Castle Kilbride. When shocking incident surprises everyone at the Livingston’s garden party, Detective Dickson, a local Berlin (Kitchener) investigator, and elite Toronto investigator, Nigel Aloysius Stout, scramble to solve the mystery.
Meanwhile in nearby Wilby, Isabel “Izzy” Bruce, Dickson’s ever precocious niece and investigative partner, goes ghost hunting with Ukrainian-born detective, Demetrius Shevchenko. The chase is on for a man who reportedly died in Newport, Kentucky prior to working years later at Castle Kilbride!
Dickson & Bruce History meets Mystery is filmed in 4K and is shown at the Kitchener Public Library Central 234-seat theatre that is fully-accessible and features large screen and Christie Digital projection.
