How the Three Sisters Gave Us Life
December 13th, 10am-4pm
Cost: $30 preregistration is required and spots are limited
Description: Participants will create a flat beaded ornament that can be hung on a Christmas tree. Narda will start with discussions of the Mohawk story of "The Three Sisters" and her choice of materials and techniques for her maple leaf. She will guide participants through a practice beaded piece, learning basic row beading and decorative edge beading, then move onto a final flat ornament.
If participants would kindly bring a bag lunch, coffee, tea, and water will be provided, and a sweet to top it all off.
Teacher: Narda Kathaleen Julg, who created a leaf in honour of her Mohawk heritage, lives on the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
